The annual awards organised by the Garden Media Guild, celebrate the best of horticultural communications, recognising the talent, skill and inspiration of garden media professionals.
The Awards are open to everyone who generates or publishes gardening content, not just Garden Media Guild members. Entry categories cover all areas of the garden media trade, rewarding the best writers, authors, journalists, broadcasters, photographers, videographers and influencers over the previous 12 months.
According to the Guild the awards have been tweaked based on feedback from 2023. A new writing award has been included, the Roy Lancaster Features Writer of the Year. The Publication of the Year Award has been extended to include online magazines and Practical Journalist of the Year now covers garden news and product reviews, as well as guides, lists and ‘how to’ features.
Added clarification has also been made as to the awards being open to all “professionals communicating any aspect of gardening, including indoor and outdoor gardening , the horticultural industry and garden retail trade or small-scale domestic homesteading”.
The Awards will be announced at the annual Awards Lunch which will take place on Friday November 22nd at the Savoy Hotel in London.
