2024 application for LSA Fellowship scheme open

The Fellowship programme helps cultivate and mature prospective industry leaders to safeguard the industry’s future.

Supported by the National Farmers Union, British Growers Association, The Horticultural Trades Association, the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board, the LSA Charitable Trust established the Fellowship programme to inspire future leaders in horticulture.

The LSA Charitable Trust (Land Settlement Association) is principally involved in advancing education in horticulture, but also has an important role in the relief of poverty for former members, employees and tenants of the Land Settlement Association Limited.

One of the key benefits of the Fellowship is the opportunity to broaden perspective, create a network, and equip the fellows for a future leadership role within the industry.

Reasons to apply:

  • Increase your understanding of the commercial horticulture industry and the role that trade bodies play in the development of industry strategies.
  • The two-year scheme increases the candidate’s knowledge of current research and wider industry issues.
  • Opportunity to attend meetings and study tours across the horticulture sector, covering technical, strategy, and marketing.
  • Chance to experience the entire horticulture industry; from Lettuce production to Hardy Shrub production.
  • Candidates are awarded a bursary of up to £3,000 which they can draw down on to cover activities within the scheme.

Application forms and scheme information can be found here. The application process closes on the 31st October 2023.
