2024 UK Florist of the Year competition

Organised by the British Florist Association to highlight and celebrate the creative talents of the floral industry.

The UK Florist of the Year 2024 competition is open to budding and experienced florist, who will compete in heats over the summer after which the finalists will compete live at the FleurEx 2024. The final is a live competition, where the competitors will be asked to create a range of designs from pre-made, to pre-planned and surprise tasks. Each heat will be judged by the UK Floristry Judges Guild, who are affiliated to the BFA and are comprised of trained professional florist judges.

The competition categories:

  • The UK Florist of the Year 2024 Newcomer: Open to up-and-coming florists with less than 5 years’ experience providing a unique opportunity to showcase potential and garner valuable experience in competing. Open to both association members and non-members.
  • The UK Florist of the Year 2024: Open to any UK florist with 5 or more years’ experience. The winner will go on to represent the UK at the Florint World Cup in Floral Art 2025 which brings together some of the most talented floral designers from across the globe, unlocking a world of invaluable experience and prominence for the winning florist.

According to the BFA, a competition for new florists is vital for encouraging great skills and potential within the industry.
