Paul Bangay is a well known Australian garden designer, with close to forty years’ experience. Known for his skill in terms of scale, balance, form and colour, Bangay draws on his lifelong study of the natural and classical worlds to create gardens around the globe. His book, is part auto-biography and part a look at garden design today and in the future.
This illustrated memoir explores the evolution of one of Australia’s finest design minds – ranging from photos of childhood gardens and goats to hand-drawn plans for Paul’s earliest designs. Through never-before-seen materials, the story behind Paul’s vision is revealed – and we see the creative workings that come to fruition in his garden designs.
A Life in Garden Design is his 10th book, and he has also written for a number of leading magazines, including Vogue and House & Garden. Bangay is the Ambassador for the Princes Trust in Australia.
