The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail to work closely with the Senior Buyer in scoping opportunities with new vendors in conjunction with existing vendor portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the commercial horticulture sector and have the ability to challenge the status quo in regards growing without peat. You will be proficient in Microsoft office applications, predominantly Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook. You will have and strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
The new Junior Buyer will be responsible for scoping new vendors and tracing plants back to source material. Assessing compatibility of both supplier and plants to the current business strategy while exploring new areas of opportunity. Collating and managing a supplier database.
- Contract: Fixed Term Contract, 12 months
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid/Flexible Working – 3 days at RHS Wisley and 2 days work from home
