Founder by David C. H. Austin OBE, David Austin Roses is a family business, based in Shropshire with more than 200 varieties of roses to its name. The company is currently reciting for a Rose Advisor, a new role in their Professional Trade Services. As custodians of rose gardens in the UK, the Pro Trade team aim to inspire the use of roses in private and public garden schemes and ensuring once selected, the roses thrive. The team also look after garden designers, landscapers and amenity services, carry out garden design and act as technical support to the wider business.
An entry level technical/knowledge support role, the Rose Advisor position is for someone with a passion for roses, plants and gardening. Suited for a candidate who is willing to learn from the technical experts, the role is potentially a stepping stone to becoming a Rose Consultant. Having confidence, enthusiasm for roses and a desire to learn, alongside well-developed communication skills will serve you well.
Full training will be provided. The role requires extensive travel so a willingness to visit our customers across the UK which means that a clean, full driving licence is a must. This role requires a substantial degree of physicality in gardens (planting, pruning and other garden related activities) and frequent travel across the UK.
- Contract: Full time, working from 9am to 5pm with flexibility on start times
- Salary: 24,000.00 ~ 28,000.00 GBP annually
- Location: Remote working, role is based at Albrighton. The Rose Advisor will need to be out on the road approximately 3-4 days per week visiting customers. Nights away will be required – expenses will be covered.
