New for Winter 2024, Alitex and Claverton Cloches have introduced a special edition, Victorian Square Cloche. The cast-iron frame and square cloche design by Claverton, has been painted in Alitex’s distinctive, best-selling ‘Wood Sage’ colourway – a celebration of their shared philosophy of Victorian-inspired garden design and craftsmanship.
Established in 1952, Alitex, the Glasshouse manufacturer is a family business that specialises in designing and manufacturing aluminium glasshouses. Claverton Cloches are manufacturers of traditional, cast-iron Victorian garden cloches – handcrafted at their workshop in Bath, England. Established in 2020, the company was established by Beth Gregg and her partner Janus Intelmann after their quest to find antique cloches proved difficult and they decided to make their own, exact reproductions of those from the Victorian period.
According to Martha Hunter, Digital Marketing Manager Alitex, the collaboration came about the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, when Gregg approached them. “It’s a very exciting, perfect fit scenario where we are both so aligned in our historical influence, and an end project that it just makes perfect sense,” added Nelly Hall, Brand Director, Alitex.
The new cloches are available from the Claverton Cloches and Alitex websites.
