Inspired by on form, the UK’s most respected garden sculpture exhibition at Asthall Manor in the Cotswolds, the gardens of Falconhurst house will host STONE, a curated collection of sculpture by some of the most renowned British sculptors.
The Sculptors exhibiting include; Paul Vanstone, Tom Stogden, Aly Brown, Kim Francis, Mel Fraser, Steve Buckley, Will Spankie, Anthony Turner, Mark Stonestreet, Guy Stevens, Dominic Welch, Luke Dickinson, Ana Ruiz Agui, Regis Chaperon, Jason Mulligan, Lucy Unwin and Gabrielle Risso.
In the manner of on form, the sculptures will be exhibited throughout the Falconhurst gardens which are managed in a sustainable and ecological way. Wild flowers and areas of long grass contrast wide herbaceous borders and emphasise the estate’s countryside location. Areas of the garden have been set aside for creating cut flower beds and market garden where they grow vegetables for the Falconhurst Farm Shop.
The gardens at Falconhurst have been part of the Talbot family since 1850. They have evolved through the generations, shaping the landscape and giving Falconhurst a unique sense of place. Carefully nurtured by Nicola Talbot for the past 30 years, the series of garden rooms, tree lined walks and architectural enclaves provide a beautiful setting for the exhibition and an opportunity for art lovers, collectors, garden enthusiasts to immerse themselves in nature and and sculpture in the grounding medium of stone.
Falconhurst was built in the 1850’s by John Chetwynd Talbot and has remained within the Talbot family for the past six generations. United by a deep appreciation for the countryside, music, cricket and culture, each generation has put their own stamp on the estate and all have loved it deeply.
STONE runs from the 29th of June until the 26th of July 2025.
