Exhibited during Eco-Week (15th February – 23rd February) at Hever Castle & Gardens, Earth Photo will be featuring work by some of the best photographers from around the world, sharing compelling stories about the environment, nature, people, forests, and the varied impacts of climate change.

Developed as a partnership between the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), Forestry England and Parker Harris and, Earth Photo aims to spark conversations on the impact of climate change on our environment. With still and moving images, the 2018 established Earth Photo aims to engage, regarding issues affecting the planet.

From 1,900 worldwide entries, an expert judging panel, across fields of photography, film, geography and the environment, selected the shortlisted 112 images and 13 videos, by 31 photographers and 13 filmmakers from around the world. Hever Castle & Gardens will showcase 30 of these.

“We are thrilled to be showcasing Earth Photo and giving visitors the chance to view these incredible images within the stunning landscape of Hever Castle & Gardens. It’s particularly pertinent to be sharing this extraordinary exhibition during our Eco-Week. Over the last few years we have experienced increasingly extreme weather conditions (which has been a challenge as a visitor attraction) and have become even more aware of what we need to do as a business and a popular venue, to highlight best practices for the environment. We hope the photography exhibition will be a talking point and visitors will enjoy viewing them outside, whatever the weather,” said Duncan Leslie, CEO at Hever Castle & Gardens.

Earth Photo will go on show at Hever Castle & Gardens until the 28th February.
