Garden Re-Leaf South-West Sponsored Walk

In support of Greenfingers, the Garden Re-Leaf Sponsored Walk is expanding with a third route.

Devon, Dartmoor National Park

Garden Re-Leaf Day is the special annual flagship fundraising event for the Greenfingers Charity to raise vital funds for life-limited children, their families and carers within their hospice. For 2025, Garden Re-Leaf day will take place on Friday, the 15th of March.

Organised by Kate Turner of The Underground Podcast, and supported by Peter Burkes of the Garden Centre Association, Durston Garden Products, and garden writer, blogger, and HTA Past President Alan Down, the Garden Re-Leaf Sponsored, South-West walk will make this fundraising event more accessible for regional Greenfingers Charity supporters.

Starting and ending in Dartmoor, the new route will span 12 miles, including sections of the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park. Participants will experience its famous open moorlands, dramatic river valleys, and the iconic Dartmoor ponies as part of the challenge.

The theme for the 2025 Garden Re-Leaf day is floral, encouraging participants to don floral hats, scarves, jackets, leggings, and perhaps even some fancy dress, to ensure a joyful celebration of ‘flower power’, teamwork, and camaraderie.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Kate and the team for bringing the South-West into the fold. Adding regional walks not only allows more people to get involved and increase our fundraising total, but it also helps spread the word about Greenfingers Charity to a wider audience of potential supporters, ambassadors, and donors. This third walk is a fantastic addition to our Garden Re-Leaf line-up, and we can’t wait to see it grow and flourish,” said Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communication of Greenfingers Charity.
