
Taking place from the 12th to 13th of July, the National Amateur Gardening Show returns, promising a weekend of interactive gardening fun and the opportunity for Amateur Gardening (AG) magazine readers and gardeners to meet gardening celebrities, browse plants and products and learn hands-on skills. Designed for the whole family, the show caters cater to all levels of gardeners and size of gardens.
The brainchild of the former editor Graham Clarke, the original National Amateur Gardening Show took place in September 1996 and was attended by some 50,000 visitors.
Current AG Magazine editor, Kim Stoddard said: “We are so excited to be bringing the National Amateur Gardening Show back to life following on from the successful relaunch of the magazine and can’t wait to meet so many of our lovely readers in person at the show.”
As well as TV star Charlie Dimmock, the show will feature speakers such as, presenter and designer Manoj Maldé; BBC presenter Toby Buckland; BBC Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time’s Anne Swithinbank and the permaculturalist and author Huw Richards. There will also be talks, demonstrations and Q&As from Amateur Gardening’s Experts such as the editor Kim Stoddart, Lucy Chamberlain, Ruth Hayes, Michael Perry, Mike Palmer, Adam Kirtland, Stephanie Hafferty and Liz Zorab.
