Reflecting their commitment to strategic growth in the thriving £400 million wild bird food sector, Westland Horticulture has announced the acquisition of Bulldog Products.

A family owned business, Bulldog Products Ltd was established in 1996 and is based in Southport, Merseyside. The company supply products and feeds for rabbits, small animals, cats, dogs, fish, pet birds and wild birds for the retail and wholesale sector. According to Westland, the new addition will enhance the focus on product innovation, brand investment, supply chain and category development to ensure Westland is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of customers.

Westland Horticulture explain: “We are delighted to welcome Bulldog Products to the Westland group. The Bulldog team has built a strong reputation and position in wild bird food manufacturing, and now together with Westland we will look to strengthen our position, supply base and customer offering. We have a dedicated team in place focused on a smooth integration, and we look forward to updating in due course on this important development.”
