Alitex launches new aluminium panel based greenhouse

Greenhouse designer-makers Alitex, known for their aluminium Victorian greenhouses, launches new base option, the Wainscot.

New Wainscot base Alitex Greenhouse

The new design by Alitex, maintains the same structural integrity and mechanics of their classic brick based greenhouses but without the need for wet works. The Wainscot is secured using (Spira Fix) ground anchors, enabling fast, hassle-free installation with no builders required on site.

According to the greenhouse manufacturer, the Wainscot offers a contemporary look, customisation from the top to bottom, simplified installation, greater flexibility, and portability.

The Wainscot base can be paired with any of the Alitex brand’s National Trust Greenhouse designs: Hidcote, Mottisfont, Stourhead and Scotney, without compromising on style choice or function. Customers also have the option to further personalise their greenhouse with bespoke colour options.

“Grounded in the principles of great Victoria design, our role as custodians is to push the boundaries, ensuring our greenhouses and products stand the test of time in a sustainable way. We are always looking for ways to innovate while staying true to our heritage of craftsmanship and quality. The Wainscot base offers the same timeless appeal and durability as our brick base greenhouses but with a new level of flexibility. Whether you’re looking for a permanent fixture or a more adaptable solution, Wainscot allows homeowners to enjoy the beauty of an Alitex greenhouse without limitations,” said Nelly Hall, Brand Director at Alitex.

The Wainscot will debut at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show and the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival Shows.
