In her new memoir, Dame Mary Berry shares her love of growing plants, visiting gardens, and getting hands-on in her own plot.
A passion that was sparked in her childhood, Berry first started gardening with her father and she has been fortunate to meet many inspirational and knowledgeable horticulturalists throughout her life. Full of anecdotes, pearls of wisdom, and beautiful photos of her own garden, My Gardening Life is a memoir told through the gardens Berry has loved.
As well as first-hand commentary, she also explains the vital role that being outside, connecting with nature, and celebrating the seasons has played in her life for 90 years. From times of personal solace to times of celebration, moments of sheer joy to gardening frustrations, Berry reveals her deep love of plants and gardens.
Berry has written over 80 cookery books, was awarded her Damehood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2020 and in last year she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Women in Film & Television Awards.
My Gardening Life (DK Books) will be released on the 26th of February, 2026.
