A novel venture, the Botanics Choir is to be a fun, friendly choir of people who care about plants, singing about plants. According to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) the choir will be singing everything from the “freshest folk to the silkiest soul”, delving into a repertoire of plant-based songs over the course of a term.
There will be an optional, debut performance of the choir after the first term. The choir is open to the general public, community groups, RBGE members, volunteers, students and staff. No singing experience is required and you do not need to audition or able to read sheet music. First-time singers are as welcome as choir enthusiasts.
The Spring 2024 term starts on Tuesday 20 February and runs until Tuesday 30 April, with a break over Easter. The Botanics Choir will meet in RBGE’s Lecture Theatre in the Science Buildings.
