Sealstop: Full watering can, no waste

Novel, British-designed, automatic shut-off valve designed to eliminate water wastage and save gardeners time.

SealStop product on a watering can

Invented by Jason and Isabelle Richardson, Sealstop was launched in 2024. A hosepipe attachment, it prevents overflow and waste by automatically shutting off hosepipe water flow when the watering can or bucket is full.

Applicable for clopping onto various containers, including watering cans, buckets, troughs, and ponds, Sealstop offers a time-efficient method to manage water usage and more control over water resources.

“SealStop is all about convenience. It means your watering can or bucket will be full and ready when you need it, without the worry of flooding or waste. Especially during droughts or hosepipe bans, it becomes an essential tool for sustainable watering routines,” explains Isabelle Richardson.

According to Trustpilot reviews, early customers have praised SealStop’s reliability, simple design and functionality. The product has garnered popularity amongst gardeners for filling large containers, replenishing ponds or water butts, or managing multiple watering cans simultaneously.

Manufactured and assembled in the United Kingdom, the company employs local suppliers to ensure sustainability in production. Distributed through a select group of retailers, through the majority of business is currently conducted directly through the company’s website.

Looking to increase both UK and international distribution, the company will be showcasing their new product at Glee 2025, at the NEC in Birmingham.

For 2026, the brand is developing a specialised holder designed to make SealStop applicable for use on hot tubs, ice baths and larger outdoor containers.
