The RHS Malvern Spring Festival held at the Three Counties Showground from the 9th – 12th of May has included new features for visitors, such as:
- The ‘Festival of Houseplants’, held in collaboration with Green Rooms Market which promises a world of indoor greenery and contemporary horticultural wonders – taking place in the Kildare Hall. The houseplant festival includes an array of in-door plants curated by UK’s finest botanical businesses, with experts on hand to provide advice and guidance as to plant selection and care.
- The Kitchen Garden Theatre, designed by Stonebarn Landscapes. This new, immersive theatre experience allows visitors to sit within a kitchen garden while watching live cooking demonstrations from a range of talented chefs and local food producers.
- ‘Garden Shed’ dining experience, looking out over the Malvern Hills, accommodate between 2 – 6 people with set menus featuring freshly prepared dishes.
- ‘Taster Tickets’ offering a chance to experience a first glimpse of the show. Priced at £15, the Taster Ticket welcomes visitors into the showground from 2pm on Saturday 11 May.
In terms of the show and feature gardens, the organisers have revealed that this year will include a new experiential feature garden from RHS gold award-winning designer, Jamie Langlands, who was awarded the coveted prize in 2023 for his ‘The Wildlife Trusts: Wilder Spaces’ garden.
With the ‘Gardening for Change’ festival theme, sustainability is a key part of the 2024 show. The pot amnesty will make return to show where visitors can opt to take any purchases home in a compostable/plantable pot, rather than a plastic one, with free pot swapping stations dotted throughout the show ground. Plastic pots will be recycled after the festival. Furthermore, the Tips & Tricks area will return providing advice, up-cycling and cost-saving tips from experts.
