Founded in 2020, the Young People in Horticulture Association (YPHA) aims to unite the under 35s working in horticulture, to better facilitate collaboration, education and innovation. YPHA’s primary focus is exploring ways the industry can attract a younger demographic, both as future horticultural employees and as customers for garden centres. Managed by a committee of 10 people, the YPHA has accumulated over 900 members nationwide.
To support their work, the YPHA offers various sponsorship packages to engage, educate, and empower the next generation of horticultural professionals across the UK. In addition to their first set of sponsors, five new sponsors for the 2025-2026 sponsorship cycle have been confirmed, further strengthening YPHA’s ability to provide opportunities, training, and networking for young professionals in horticulture.
The newly confirmed sponsors are: David Austin Roses (YPHA Key Partner); Boningale Nurseries (YPHA Key Partner); Floramedia (Key Partner); Fargro; and the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).
According to the YPHA, with this level of support, the organisation now has a strong foundation dedicated to the development and growth of young people in the industry. Their continued support plays a crucial role in funding events, training programmes, and networking initiatives designed to empower the next generation.
