Applications for Long Borders at 2025 RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse invited

Designers, community groups, horticultural students and gardeners are invited to create a planted border at the 2025 RHS Wentworth Woodhouse flower show.

A great platform to designing show gardens, the Long Borders category at the RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show provides designers, community groups, horticultural students, or budding gardeners an opportunity to showcase their talents and be awarded a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Medal.

Earlier this year, the RHS announced that Wentworth Woodhouse was to be the new Flower Show venue in 2025. Part of the changes being made to the RHS Show programme, the RHS Flower Show previously held at Tatton Park, will be heading to South Yorkshire for the very first time next year.

The Long Borders are raised beds, constructed by the shows team, providing 12.6m2 of design space. For 2025, the theme is “make a statement”, which the RHS stipulate should showcase a focal feature and demonstrate high impact for small space. They are looking for unique designs covering a range of topics and aesthetics.

Successful applicants will receive an RHS Grant (£800) to help with the costs of planting, materials and transport.. According to the RHS, there are a limited number of RHS grants to allocate. Applicants are also encouraged to seek additional funding through sponsorship for the RHS Shows Team have provided guidance.

The 2025 RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show takes place on the 16-20th of July and is located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. For interested applicants, herewith the application form and further information in the associated factsheet.
