Simon Burvill Running Paris Marathon in support of Horatio's Garden

Inspired by their vital works, Simon Burvill, the founder and Chief Executive of the Gaze Burvill is training to run the Paris Marathon in Paris, ‘bare-foot’ to raise funds for Horatio’s Garden.

Horatio’s Garden is a UK charity that nurtures wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. The first Horatio’s Garden opened in 2012 and the charity’s mission is to grow thriving communities and biodiverse gardens in all 11 UK spinal injury centres.

“I like running ‘bare-foot’ as being outdoors and the feeling of a direct connection with nature that I get through my feet. This is something I would miss terribly if ever I couldn’t run. Horatio’s Garden provides this important connection to nature for people who are in life changing circumstances. This charity is awe-inspiring, and I have seen first hand the incredible impact that it is having for so many people in such challenging situations. Your donation will really transform lives,” explains Burvill.

Burvill is looking to raise £2,000, with Gaze Burvill match funding the first £1,000 of donations. For further information about his efforts and donation details, we refer you to Burvill’s dedicated JustGiving page.

Bonne chance monsieur!
