Besides the grand, magical Christmas Markets such as those held in Bath, at Blenheim Palace, Edinburgh, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, Chatsworth or the likes of the Spirit of Christmas and Country Living fairs, here are some of our picks for the smaller, more unusual Christmas craft fairs & markets in the UK for 2024.

  • The Garden Museum’s Beautiful & Useful Craft Fair with its curated collection of Britain’s best designer-makers selling bold, bohemian and thoroughly beautiful handmade ceramics, textiles, art prints, jewellery, and homewares. Takes place at the Garden Museum on the 1st of December 2024 from 10.00am-4.00pm. Tickets £5.
  • The enchanting Christmas Fair at Chelsea Physic Garden features over 100 independent and small businesses with a lovingly curated selection of gifts – from fine food and specialty drinks to unique homewares, clothing and accessories. The Christmas Fair will take place from the 21 – 24th of November, 2024 10am – 5pm (until 4pm on the Sunday).
  • Held in aid of the national children’s charity WellChild, the Cotswolds Christmas Fair takes place from the 11-14th of November 2024 on Todenham Manor Farm, Moreton-in-Marsh (GL56 9NW). Featuring around 200 stallholders, selling everything from homeware, clothing, gifts, books to pet accessories. Authors such as Kaleb Cooper, Susie Dent, Ben Miller and Kate Humble will be singing books.
  • Young Makers Christmas Market at Morden Hall Park in London, in support of local young entrepreneurs aged 16-25. The event is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit and youthful innovation of young minds, providing a platform for young business owners, entrepreneurs, artists and creatives to showcase their talents and skills through a variety of stalls. Takes place on the 24th of November 2024, from 10am- 4pm.
  • Nicholsons located in North Aston, Oxfordshire will be holding their annual Christmas Market on Saturday, the 16th of November featuring a variety of artisanal stalls for festive inspiration.
  • TOAST Festive Market returns to Coal Drops Yard in London, bringing together independent makers in a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship during the festive season. Takes place, every Friday to Sunday, 6-22nd of December 2024 at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross, London N1C 4LW.
  • Dulwich College Christmas Fair on the 24th of November 2024, from 10.30am-3.30pm. In addition to Christmas shopping, this fair offers a rare opportunity to see inside Dulwich College, as the Barry Buildings, cloisters and courtyards will host the 100+ stalls for its annual fair.
  • Oxford Botanic Garden‘s Christmas Fair features a variety of local craftspeople, suppliers, and producers. There will be live music, delicious local food and drink, and plenty of activities for children. The fair takes place on Saturday, the 7th of December (10:00 – 18:00) and Sunday, the 8th of December (10:00 – 16:00).
  • The Christmas Independent Ceramics Market in London, brings together over 150 ceramics makers, from students to established artists, selling their distinctive wares. Set to take place on Sunday, the 8th of December 2024, from 11am – 5pm, Unit 8, 133 Copeland Road London, England, SE15 3SN.
  • Crafty Fox Market at The British Library in London, features local artists and craftspeople, offering a mixture of jewellery, ceramics, homewares, beauty products, textiles and cards. The market takes place on the 30th of November until the 1st of December from 11am – 5pm at The British Library, Euston Road London, NW1 2DB.
  • Christmas Market at the Chippy Flower Farm in Oxfordshire takes place on the 22-23rd of November 2024 and promises a range of unique, hand-made creations and gifts. Featuring: Corinna Pyman with stoneware; Catherine Zoraida jewellery; Rosedale Organic Farm are bringing sheepskin rugs tanned using natural materials; C.Atherley with range of scents and skincare products; Chippy Flower Farm team with floral arrangements, wreaths, garlands and tree decorations. Timings: 9.30-3, access may be limited to four wheel drive cars.
  • Maggie’s Oxford Christmas Market, with Kate Humble and Rachel de Thame as special guests, will take place on the 28th of November, 2024 at Manor Farm, in Wallingford, Oxfordshire (OX10 6AX). Local traders, produce and inspiration are promised, featuring the likes of Flavell Trading, Bud to Seed and Kate Wilkinson. Funds raised are destined for Maggie’s centres to offer the support to cancer patients and their families.
  • The Charterhouse Christmas Fair, taking place on the 26th of November, will feature over 50 stalls set up in the atmospheric surroundings of the 1611 dated, Charterhouse in London (EC1M 6AN). Crafts, gifts, housewares, accessories, seasonal artisan food & drink products are promised. Entry is from 10:00am-8:00pm, with last admission at 7:30pm.
  • Stratford-Upon-Avon Victorian Christmas market features over 200 traditional market stalls lining seven different streets with traditional funfair with an authentic Victorian carousel. The market will take place over two consecutive weekends, on 7th & 8th and 14th & 15th December (Saturday 10-8pm, Sunday 10-5pm).
  • Duck Pond Christmas Market at Chiswick House in London, features around 20 small business stall holders making artisan hand-made goods. The market is held on the forecourt of the Chiswick House and Garden Pavilion on the 30th of November and Sunday 1 December, from 10am – 4pm.
