
As the new Managing Director, Amy Stubbs will be working with the senior leadership team to formulate a comprehensive long-term vision, enhance operational efficiency, and foster innovation throughout the business.
Charles, Robert, and Phillippa Stubbs will remain fully engaged in the company’s daily operations and future direction, working closely with Amy to develop the business and strengthen the values.
Amy, a member of the HTA Council, also serves as Co-Chair of the East region for the GCA, actively contributing to the industry, ensuring that the voices of members in her region are effectively represented.
In 2025 British Garden Centres (BGC) has seen substantial growth in 2025 with the acquisition of seven Dobbies stores: Gosforth, Shinfield, Gloucester, Heighley Gate, Rugby, Havant and Northampton, and Hayes Garden World. Employing around 3000, the company’s portfolio now comprises of 73 garden centres and also operates Woodthorpe Leisure Park in Lincolnshire.
