The next book in the flower series, Daffodils by Naomi Slade and Georgianna Lane celebrates this spring favourite, with an in-depth look at the many varieties for the garden, home and vase.

Narcissus are known for their refreshing spring colour, ranging from brilliant yellow and orange to pastel pink and white. This diverse plant can be traced back to the sixteenth century, used for medicine, decor and as the symbol of many organisations and countries worldwide.

From the unconventional, ‘Pink Charm’ to the scented ‘Bridal Crown’, the books covers over 60 varieties, with suggestions for planting, growing and cutting. Accompanied by Georgianna Lane’s photography, Daffodils is for gardeners, amateur and professional, florists and collectors.

Naomi Slade is an author, gardening expert, designer and presenter. She contributes regularly to publications including the Telegraph, The English Garden and House and Garden, and Garden News magazine. A keen gardener with a particular interest in small gardens, naturalistic planting and the environment, Slade is interested in landscape, orchard and meadow restoration and conservation and sympathetic garden design. She has written eleven books to date, including ‘Chrysanthemums‘ and ‘Hydrangeas’, also published by Pavilion.

Georgianna Lane is a floral, garden and travel photographer whose work has been featured in publications including Gardens Illustrated, BBC Gardener’s World and Garden Design.
