In celebration of National Children’s Gardening Week (25 May-2 June), budding young gardeners who are looking to encourage their peers and keen to take on the role of ambassadors of the Dobbies’ monthly free Little Seedlings Club, are encouraged to get in touch with the garden centre chain. The workshops, run by Dobbies are designed to encourage children enjoy to the wonders of nature.

The successful ambassadors, aged between 4 and 10, will become the faces of Dobbies’ monthly workshops, write blogs for the website, and feature in news articles and photographs.

Emma Tailford, Dobbies’ Horti Manager said: “We love welcoming our young customers to the Little Seedlings Club workshops every month and take joy in inspiring the next generation. We had a fantastic response to our ambassador search last year, and it’s been rewarding to see the children thrive on their personal gardening journey.”

The next free Little Seedlings Club workshop takes place during National Children’s Gardening Week on Sunday, the 2nd of June. The session will focus on growing herbs, encouraging children of all gardening abilities to get stuck in and learn the joys of growing their own produce. Very much an interactive workshop, it’s designed to teach budding gardeners not just how to grow and nurture herbs, but also their medicinal qualities and how to infuse them into culinary creations.

Further information on the workshops and the application for future ambassadors, see the Little Seedlings Club information page on the Dobbies website. Applications are open until 23 June 2024.
