The most visited garden in the South-West of France, Les Jardins suspendus de Marqueyssac are set around the 19th century stone castle. Famed for its topiary, the garden features 6 kms of shaded pathways lined with 150000 hand-pruned boxwood, punctuated with belvederes, rockeries, waterfalls and greenery. The garden is situated on a rocky spur with the most impressive panoramic views of the valley, and it’s many châteaux.

The passionate gardener, Julien de Cerval, inherited Marqueyssac in 1961 and dedicated the last thirty years of his life to Marqueyssac, planting tens of thousand of boxwoods to make it the unique garden it is today.
