Since its launch in 2020, the Feverfew Garden Company has quickly gained recognition for its functional gardening apparel designed specifically for women. The Orkney-based garden wear business won the Young Edge award in Scotland’s funding competition in December 2023 and the ‘Best Buy’ award from gardenersworld.com. The company’s product portfolio has since diversified from gloves, into hats, t-shirts, and gift hampers.
The new appointment represents a strategic move forward for the young company. Chloe Plumstead, a gardening influencer, initially collaborated with Feverfew, marketing the gloves to her followers. The duo also worked a limited edition version of the glove, and ever since Feverfew’s founder, Rachel Eunson, decided to take their collaboration a step further to include Plumstead in the brand’s future.
“Chloe came to Feverfew with a clear vision: to create practical and stylish gardening gloves for women that resonated with her audience and reflected her personal style. What followed was an exciting six-month period of designing and manufacturing, resulting in the launch of the Maple Mushroom gloves, which were a huge success. At the time, I was realising that the business was approaching a stage where it needed a second person on board to help me drive growth, and I knew there was only one person I wanted to join me on the journey,”, explained Eunson.
Plumstead added, “Feverfew’s mission to encourage people into gardening is parallel to my own, so I am beyond thrilled to be joining the team alongside Rachel.”
