Fiona Bruce to host National Garden Scheme ‘Ask the Experts’ event

BBC TV presenter, gardener and National Garden Scheme Ambassador, Fiona Bruce will host the fundraising event taking place at the Royal Geographical Society in London.

Answering a range of pre-submitted audience questions and covering all aspects of gardens and gardening from design and planting to weeding and watering, and gardens and health, will be a panel of well known gardening broadcasters and professionals, including Arit Anderson, Danny Clarke, Rachel de Thame, Joe Swift and Martha Swales.

Taking place on the 2nd of December at the Royal Geographic Society in London, the National Garden Scheme (NGS) fundraising event promises the opportunity to quiz some of the country’s leading gardening experts and to enjoy their lively debate which will be led and chaired by the broadcaster, Fiona Bruce.

Tickets for the event, as well as the online version are available from the NGS. All proceeds are in aid of the NGS beneficiaries.

The NGS raises visitors unique access to over 3,300 exceptional private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, and raises impressive amounts of money for some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake. The NGS donated more than £74 million for their beneficiary charities, and in 2024 made donations of over £3.5 million. Founded in 1927 to support district nurses, the charity is now the most significant charitable funder of nursing in the UK, which include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson’ UK, Carers Trust and The Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing.
