Known for outdoor sculptures, sundials and water features, David Harber has launched a new, limited edition sculpture, entitled FLO, which draws on inspiration from the organic forms found in nature.
According to the company, the new sculpture marks a new milestone in David Harber’s sculpture finishing – a hot patination technique, which uses precise brushwork and heat to create a tapestry of colours and hues. Standing at a height of 2.2 metres, the formed bronze, FLO has a fluid, graceful silhouette with a subtle through-hole allowing for views beyond. Finished with 23 ¾ carat gold gilding along its interior and exterior edges, the sculpture has a radiant glow during the day and at dusk, casts natural shadows and depth.
“My inspiration originates from the natural world, where I draw ideas from pebbles, trees, planets, fallen leaves, and landscape forms. I strive to evoke these elements into a sculpture that encourages reflection on the natural world as an endless masterpiece, shaped continually by natural processes.” Lior Kristal, Design Director at David Harber.
