The latest acquisitions, bring the total group number of the British Garden Centres (BGC) to 72, marking a significant growth milestone for the business. For both new locations, BGC will be working with the existing centre teams to build upon the strong foundations already in place.
Rugby Garden Centre is expected to open in March as the team works to reset and stock the site, with Northampton following suit once the acquisition is complete. BCG will retain the current teams in both stores and due to the expected growth of the sites, for which the company have said there will be recruitment drives.
Charles Stubbs of British Garden Centres said: “These acquisitions represent a significant step forward in our continued growth and reinforce our commitment to becoming the leading garden centre group in the UK. We’re delighted to welcome both teams to the British Garden Centres family and are excited about the potential for both the Rugby and Northampton sites. By integrating these centres into our portfolio, we aim to expand our customer base and provide even more growth opportunities. With a dedication to quality, service, and leading garden plants and products, we look forward to a bright future and continued success with our suppliers.”
