The collection of work, celebrating the TOAST Spring Summer 2024 Outdoor Pursuits collection, is inspired by the outdoors and how we interact with nature. Using a palette of rich colours, loose brush strokes and mark making, the flowers, insects and nature motifs depicted in this series evoke a sense of optimism and joy.
Rosie Harbottle is an artist based on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon. She draws inspiration from her surrounding landscape, flowers and the beauty of everyday objects. Predominantly painting with acrylic on canvas and oil pastels to create colourful, expressive and textural representations of flora and fauna that celebrate the natural world and living alongside it.
Established in 1997 in Wales, the TOAST clothing brand is known for its modern and functional pieces intended to last, made in collaboration with artisans, weavers, and mills from across the globe to support local communities, preserving craftsmanship and traditional techniques.
The collection will be on show at the Garden Museum from the 17 January – 4 February 2024. Entry is free.
