Delegates attending the event in the Cotswolds took part in a GCA Charity Day as well as a fundraising raffle, draw and auction during the week.
GCA CEO Peter Burks explains: “We renamed our Sunday event as the ‘GCA Charity Day’ this year. During the day and, across the whole conference, we raised money for three worthy charities that work in our sector – Greenfingers, Perennial and The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation”.
By means of a raffle, quiz and the gala dinner and auction supported by sponsors, the GCA managed to raise the impressive amount for the selected charities.
The GCA represents more than 200 garden centres nationwide. Through sharing information and its inspection programme the GCA helps members to achieve high standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability.
