Rowing to become 2024 Greenfingers Dragon Boat champions will be teams from Westland, Evergreen, GIMA alongside the YPHA, the AMES Companies, Woodlodge and British Garden Centres, with friends and family set to cheer them on from the sidelines. The race will take place this Sunday, at Grendon Lakes in Northamptonshire.
Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, said: “We’re consistently impressed by the way our supporters get involved, whether in-person or from afar. The 2024 Dragon Boat Race will be no different, and we sincerely hope that people, teams and businesses will be able to boost the excitement on the day. Whether they’re coming to cheer on the rowers, sponsoring the event or providing something for the raffle, their input will be so gratefully received by us at Greenfingers and by those that spend time in one of our garden spaces.”
As with any Greenfingers Charity fundraising event there are sponsorship opportunities for those keen to support the event. A raffle will also be held on the day, and Greenfingers are calling out for donations of prizes for this special raffle. Prizes can include everything from products to services and experiences. Anyone wanting to get involved in the Greenfingers Charity Dragon Boat Race should email Linda Petrons directly on linda@greenfingerscharity.org.uk.
