Honda launches cordless chainsaw

Designed for domestic use, Honda has enhanced its cordless handheld collection with the introduction of the user-friendly HHC36BXB Chainsaw.

Honda launches its first ever cordless chainsaw, setting new standards for precision and power

The new chainsaw is the latest product to be added to Honda’s 36V cordless system. Powered by a 1.6kW brushless motor, and Honda Thermo Smart battery technology. According to Honda, both hard and softwood can be cut with ease. The design and power-to-weight ratio allow pruning low tree branches.

Delivering on performance, runtime is extended for prolonged tasks and is able to perform more than 60 cuts of 100mm2 pine wood on one charge of the 2.0Ah battery. The automatic speed control system adapts to the wood’s hardness, optimising performance with high torque for hard wood and high rpm for soft wood. The electronic control system detects potential stalls, and adjusts the power to ensure continuous operation and avoid overheating.

Features are user friendly and include:

  • Easy-load battery fitment
  • Toolless chain tensioning a visible oil level indicator
  • Automatic chain oiling
  • Rapid 0.12-second kickback brake ensuring swift and secure operation
  • Low-profile Oregon-90PX chain and 35cm Oregon bar also contribute to low vibration and efficient, safe operation.

The HHC36BXB Chainsaw uses Honda’s 36V cordless batteries which feature Thermo Smart technology. Options include: lightweight 2.0Ah battery for enhanced comfort and the high capacity 4.0Ah and 6.0Ah batteries for medium to heavy domestic use.
