Reflecting the ebb and flow of the seasons, the Knepp Wilding Kitchen serves the estate’s own sustainably sourced meat and produce from the market garden.

Based in Sussex, Knepp is the pioneering rewilding project that’s turned failing farm land into a profitable site of wildlife abundance. Since the project began, the 3,500-acre estate has seen extraordinary increases in wildlife where rare species such as turtle doves, nightingales, peregrine falcons and Purple Emperor butterflies are thriving.

Welcoming in the new season, the new Chef, Alex Dome brings a wealth of experience, having worked for Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett and leading the Green Michelin Star kitchen at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond and Covent Garden as Head Chef.

Dome said: “My ethos is to source the best possible ingredients and to treat them with respect to let them shine. Knepp Wilding Kitchen is so exciting for me because we have access to amazing fresh organic herbs, salads and vegetables from Knepp’s Market Garden, as well as Wild Range meat from the rewilding project. So, my job is to help these fantastic ingredients come into focus on the plate.”
