Speaking to RadioTimes magazine, Monty Don has confirmed that he will continue to host BBC Gardeners’ World for another two years (from January 2025). Don has hosted the BBC show since 2003 – except between 2008 and 2011, when Toby Buckland took over the reigns.

Filmed in his Herefordshire garden, Longmeadow, the two-acre space is divided into different areas; the Cottage Garden, the Jewel Garden, the Islamic-inspired Paradise Garden and the Vegetable Garden – all of which are well known to the viewers and garden enthusiasts.

Explaining to the RadioTimes he said: “I never make plans beyond two years, but I’ve agreed to do another two. Every time I think, ‘Am I really going to do this?’ But the truth is that I do enjoy it. I’m lucky because it’s in my own garden. If the programme is made well, I’ll continue.”

Don will appear on BBC Two in January, for his new programme Monty Don’s British Gardens, which will start airing on Friday 10th January at 8pm.
