Whilst visiting their show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year, gardening expert and broadcaster Monty Don, offered the National Garden Scheme his support by means of a fundraising event – the result of which is ‘Monty Don in conversation with Sophie Raworth‘.
In conversation with journalist and broadcaster, Sophie Raworth, Don will share his passion for gardens and discuss his new television series entitled ‘British Gardens’. The new series is set to air on the 10th of January at 8pm on BBC Two. After a run of television series and books, most recently Monty Don’s Spanish Gardens, his latest project will explore a selection of Britain’s most iconic gardens.
‘British Garden’ will stretch to all corners of the United Kingdom’s four nations, featuring a wonderfully eclectic mix of gardens, ranging from historic icons of different periods to small, little-known personal gems. From Chatsworth to Battersea Power Station, from Little Sparta to St Just Church, and from gnomes to Chelsea Flower Show – encapsulating the rich diversity of British gardens.
Taking place on the 20th of February 2025, ‘Monty Don in conversation with Sophie Raworth‘ can be attended at the Royal Geographic Society in London or watched online – respective tickets are now available on the NGS website.
