Crowley, a dendrologist, plant conservationist and writer is currently working for Forestry England (FE) as Tree Conservation Manager at Westonbirt. He is the author of ‘Westonbirt Arboretum’s Tree Spotter’s Guide‘, and the ‘Lives of Leaves‘ and member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Global Tree Specialist Group.

Every post on Crowley’s instagram reveals yet another ancient, characterful arboreal beauty. We don’t do enough to protect these ancient wonders, but marking, identifying and publicising them is a step in the right direction. Crowley’s extensive experience, knowledge and admiration for trees is truly inspiring.
