Airth based horticulturist, Adam Fleming has established the new National Gardening & Outdoor Living Show, which is set to take place in Edinburgh from the 26th – 27th of July, 2025. Fleming, who has worked for more than 25 years in the nursery trade, endeavoured to bring back a floral show as the last national show closed down during the pandemic in 2020.

“We knew that there was a gap for a national event and so we have brought one back to Edinburgh, this time incorporating a traditional flower show, with fruit and vegetable classes,” explained Fleming.

The National Gardening & Outdoor Living Show promises to be a fun, family orientated show, bringing together everything for keen gardeners, including up to 40 known nurseries, traditional fruit and vegetable show, talks, workshops and traders offering essential gardening tools and accessories. Some of exhibiting nurseries include: Primrose Bank, Kevock, Dibley’s, East of Eden nurseries and Wacks Wicked Plants, as well as the Scottish Koi and Bonsai clubs and the Scottish Orchid Society. A series of competitions are open to visitors, such as the floral vase and pot contest.

The new show will be opened by the presenter and gardener David Domoney, known for his appearances in shows such as ITV ‘Love Your Garden’. Domoney said: “I am really looking forward to taking part in the National Gardening and Outdoor Living Show this year. There’s going to be so much to experience for all ages in an enriching show for both novice and keen gardeners alike. It’s a wonderful experience meeting people who want to engage in gardening and learn more about plants and flowers and being able to share some top tips and amazing facts about the natural world.”
