As a long time admirer of Paul Smith for his classic style with a distinctive sense of fun and individuality, Jake Hobson, founder of the Japanese lifestyle brand Niwaki, has collaborated with the designer to create a set of functional gardening tools in a playful, Paul Smith inspired colour palette.
“Perfect for stylish, creative gardeners who expect high quality tools but don’t take themselves too seriously, the new Paul Smith x Niwaki collection consists of four pieces:
- Higurashi Scissors: traditional drop forged scissors for ikebana, cut flowers, dead-heading, bonsai and light pruning. According to Niwaki, the scissors were selected by Paul Smith for their shapely handles, refined cutting action and general.
- Secateurs + Leather Holster: pair of drop-forged Niwaki secateurs with specially strapped handles in blue and red leather cord in dual-branded holster.
- Shokunin Tool Bag: Stout leather bag designed for tools, dual-branded and constructed in a combination of red, blue and green leather.
- Hori Hori Pro + Canvas Sheath: Hand-made and designed especially for Niwaki and Paul Smith by third generation family craftsmen in Miki, Hyogo in Japan. The Hori Hori has an FSC Beech handle and comes with accompanying dual-branded Canvas Sheath for safe storage.
The new collection is available online at Niwaki and Paul Smith, and in-store at Niwaki Chiltern Street and selected Paul Smith boutiques.
