RHS Gardens often have over 1000 visitors per day, which if all accompanied by a four-legged friend or possibly two even, could potentially mean hundreds of dogs in the gardens. Dogs are therefore not allowed, except of course assistance dogs. However, on a few days a year, the RHS opens their gardens for (responsible) owners and canine companions.
Opening times vary per garden, all the dates & details of RHS Walkies for 2024 listed below. Before heading out, always check the RHS websites for entry conditions and possible date/timing changes.
RHS Bridgewater
Tickets must be booked in advance of visits. Two dogs permitted per person and must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are welcome throughout the Welcome Building during walkies, including the café and Garden Centre.

RHS Harlow Carr
No booking is required. Two dogs are permitted per person. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and should not be allowed in children’s play areas or permitted to enter any waterbodies on site.

RHS Hyde Hall
Tickets must be booked in advance, normal membership allowance applies. Two dogs permitted per person and must be kept on a lead at all times. Please keep to the hard paths only, and off of any grass areas. For health and hygiene reasons, the Global Growth Vegetable Garden will be closed.

RHS Rosemoor
