Run in partnership with Creepers Nursery, the Garden Makers competition provides upcoming designers a platform to hone their exhibiting and planting skills to an audience of 5,000 visitors attending the Royal Windsor Flower Show in Berkshire.
The theme for the 2024 show and the competition is ‘In Tune with Nature’ to show how even in a small space, we can make a positive change for nature. Competitors will be working with plants sourced from Creepers Nursery from a wide palette of pre-determined stock, to have their gardens judged by a team of industry experts. Competitors are up for three awards, which includes spending money at Creepers Nursery.
Celebrating its 117th year in 2024, with the theme of Gardening in Harmony with Nature, the Royal Windsor Flower Show welcomes back Alan Williams of Landform Consultants to create a central feature garden called ‘What Do You See?’. Planting a seed of thought that we are part of nature and that caring for nature will enable us to be healthier and live a more sustainable life. As part of his design, he will be highlighting community orchards, wildflowers, bees and edible crops.
Honorary President, Alan Titchmarsh will open the show. Visitors can attend talks by Alan Titchmarsh, Mark Gregory, Rosy Hardy, Matthew Pottage and Yan Skates and shop for plants from the ten Great British Plant Nurseries which includes the likes of Hardy Cottage Plants, Harkness Roses and The Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.
