First broadcast on the BBC Forces Programme in 1942, guests on Desert Island Discs are asked to choose eight audio recordings (usually music), a book and a luxury item that they would take if they were to be cast away on a desert island, whilst discussing their life and the reasons for their choices.
Joining the host, Lauren Laverne, Sarah Raven will feature on the programme on Sunday the 28th of July at 10am.
We await to hear if her choices include any gardening paraphernalia and/or books. After all, a pair of secateurs should be mighty handy luxury on a desert island…
