Sculpture Park pieces up for auction

An auction is being held, to sell a part of the collection from the Sculpture Park, owned and curated over twenty years by artist, collector and dealer, Eddie Powell.

Sculpture Park Auction

Based in Farnham, Surrey, the Sculpture Park is an eclectic sculpture exhibition, showcasing hundreds of contemporary works by over 300 artists – over a 2 mile woodland trail. The collection is sited within ten acres of arboretum and wildlife inhabited water gardens, which have been developed and landscaped featuring new plants, bulbs and specimen trees.

After two decades of dedicated collecting, the Sculpture Park has reached its capacity. For that reason, a significant portion (400+pieces) of the collection will be sold offering at auction. Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers will befacilitating and presenting the timed auction for Eddie Powell and The Sculpture Park team. Included in the sale are a number of works by Powell himself under the pseudonym Wilfred Pritchard.

According to the Sculpture Park Team, reducing the number of sculptures on display, will help to create the optimal environment for viewing art outdoors, continuing to satisfy and delight both national and international visitors, without overwhelming them.

The sale will be online and the bidding will open from Friday 26 April until Sunday 19 May. Viewing will take place, in situ at The Sculpture Park in Farnham, Surrey.
