A diverse array of community groups were eligible for the scheme which included, schools and hospital gardens to urban gardens, food bank gardens, community gardens and guerrilla gardeners.
To date, STIGA has received applications from 44 community groups and the company has donated an array of gardening kit to 24 groups. Groups have received a variety of kit, depending on their exacting needs, from chainsaws, to long reach pruners, hedge trimmers and mowers. The campaign will run until of this year, or until STIGA reach their target of 90 community groups.

Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm is another recipient group where the volunteers grow fruit, vegetable and flowers in the community garden. Anika, of Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm said: “Thank you so much to all the lovely people at Stiga! Having a lawnmower and especially a battery powered one make our life much easier. The council used to cut the grass, however since we have created additional wild flower beds, it’s been up to volunteers to keep the grounds tidy. We are all so excited about the new tools and cannot wait to use the grass strimmer and electric pruner.”
