Celebrating its 117th year in 2024, with the theme of Gardening in Harmony with Nature, the Royal Windsor Flower Show (RWRHS) has a long history of Royal patronage. One of the oldest continuously running horticultural societies in the world, the RWRHS was founded by Queen Victoria and has had seven Royal Patrons over its 132 year history, including His Majesty King Charles III. The remit of the society is to raise funds to encourage the enjoyment of gardening, nature, cookery and traditional crafts in the community.
The theme for the 2024 show focuses on the principles of The Harmony Project, an educational syllabus for schools, to get children and adults invigorated about the cycle of life, which in turn has been inspired by His Majesty The King’s 2010 book Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World.
Set in the beautiful historic grounds of Windsor Great Park, the Royal Windsor Flower Show celebrates gardening, nature, cookery and traditional crafts. The show features showcase gardens and talks by the society’s Honorary President and celebrated gardener, Alan Titchmarsh, whom along with experts such as Mark Gregory, Rosy Hardy, Matthew Pottage and Yan Skates are set to enlighten on all things gardening. Ten Great British Plant Nurseries will be exhibiting at show, which includes the likes of Hardy Cottage Plants, Harkness Roses and The Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.
