Thomas Hoblyn bestowed SGD fellowship

Landscape designer, Thomas Hoblyn has been made a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers.

Fellows of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) are Registered Members who have been recognised for making an exceptional contribution to the SGD or the garden design profession, and use FSGD after their names.

British Landscape designer, Thomas Hoblyn set up his practice after graduating from The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. His work is underpinned by his innate understanding and knowledge as a plantsman and an appreciation of place in the landscape. Hoblyn’s projects include London town houses, country houses and estates, healing gardens and rewilding projects.

He has won three gold, four silver gilt and two silver medals at RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court. Hoblyn has also won the People’s Choice Award for the 2012 RHS Chelsea Arthritis Research Garden, and a nomination for The People’s Choice of The Decade Award in 2020.

On receiving the Fellowship Hoblyn said: “I am truly delighted and deeply appreciative of the Council’s recognition of my contributions to the SGD and garden design profession.”
