Toby’s Garden Fest

A collaboration between broadcaster Toby Buckland and Country Gardener magazine, the garden festival attracts over 6000 visitors annually.

Set on the grounds of the fortified manor house, Powderham Castle Exeter, the focus of Toby’s Garden Fest is bringing together the best nurseries from the West Country and beyond, and provide a multitude of quality gardening talks on a wide range of horticultural topics.

Speakers include: the host, horticulturist, author and presenter Toby Buckland; presenter, writer and columnist Rachel de Thame; ecologist and botanist Becky Searle, and BBC’s Gardener’s World presenter Sue Kent.

Earlier this week, Buckland announced that the award winning, and “hugely entertaining”, food & garden writer, Mark Diacono will return to the Food and Drink Pavilion at the event. Diacono, a cunning cocktail mixer will undoubtedly demonstrate some of his much loved recipes.

Diacono has written 13 books, he won the André Simon Food Book of the Year award for his book A Year at Otter Farm, and the Food Book of the Year for A Taste of the Unexpected by the Guild of Food Writers.

Toby’s Garden Fest takes place on Friday the 3rd & 4th of May 2024.
