Ade Sellars to host the new Urban Gardening Stage at BBC Gardeners’ World Live

Gardener, presenter and writer, Ade Sellars will be hosting the new Urban Gardening Stage at this year’s BBC Gardeners’ World Live at the Birmingham NEC.

Sponsored by Blue Diamond, the Urban Gardening stage, forms part of the new Urban Gardening Area at the upcoming BBC Gardeners’ World Live which will take place on the 13-16th of June, 2024.

The urban focus at the show aims to provide visitors with plant ideas for their balcony or terrace with and includes two showcase gardens designed by the garden designer, Cherry Carmen. The gardens will be built in a competition format by World Skills UK winners Anna Mcloughlin with Ceri Furber, versus Aimee Copland with Jacob Mercer.

The stage host, Ade Sellars known as the ‘The Good Life Gardener’ is a garden writer, presenter, professional gardener and content producer, with a passion for growing food in his kitchen garden. After leaving his London career as an editor and director, Sellars retrained, gained his RHS qualifications and moved to rural Suffolk to lead ‘The Good Life’. Recently awarded Garden Media Guild’s ‘The Beth Chatto Environmental Award’, Sellars writes for various gardening publications and has recently produced a six-part mini gardening documentary Down the Garden Path, which puts leading gardening figures in the spotlight.
