Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show Borders Competition

Supported by CED Stone and the London College of Garden Design, the competition celebrates planting design and supports new garden designers in their careers.

Belvoir Castle Flower Show

Located within the Estate, the Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show takes place on Saturday the 31st of August and Sunday the 1st of September 2024. For the first time the show will be staged near the cannonade and immediate surrounding area to the castle.

Budding garden designers are invited to design a planting scheme for the show, on the theme of ‘Countryside Borders’. Now its sixth year, the competition has been extended to include an element of hard materials and containers within the design borders and an option on the shapes which proved popular in 2023.

The competition is open to anyone involved in garden design, horticulture and landscaping and has proved to be a good platform for professionals wanting to try out their skills in show exhibiting. Designers have been know to used this competition as a springboard to other competitions such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and BBC Gardeners World Live.

Competition entries should be submitted by 7th April 2024. Full competition details and brief are available here.
