The GCBC is a UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme is led by the Department of Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and funds research on the sustainable use of biodiversity for climate change resilience and poverty alleviation. The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (RGB) is the strategic science lead for the programme, providing important advice, developing new partnerships and generating a portfolio of supporting research to ensure the GCBC delivers on its aims.
The research assistant will contribute to the GCBC team by supporting the development of evidence reviews and synthesis activities. Educated to degree level and with experience in a similar role, the ideal candidate will be a team player who can manage conflicting priorities and work on their own initiative.
This position will involve conducting literature searches, evidence gap analyses, data handling and other evidence synthesis tasks. The post holder will also have the opportunity to explore different aspects within the GCBC programme including development & capacity building, and the interface between research, policy, and practice.
